John Galliano: menswear

Interesting fabrication with sheen.
I am looking for a fabric likewise as it was something that was discussed during the critic.

This trench coat is mixed with Galliano's figrant dandyism.
Clean cut. I also really like the tiny knotted belt.

Recent John Galliano's Spring 2011 collection was very intriguing inspired by the classic iconCharlie Chaplin . Again, I was looking for trench coats like always!! Here are the looks that I found interesting. These two looks took a modern approach of tench coat.

Deconstructing an old trench coat

The silhouette project

This is 80's trench coat which my aunt used to wear back in the day when she was my age :)
It was sent it from a long way from Korea.

Sadly, I had to deconstruct this historical garment to get on with the silhouette project.

Trench Coat

There's something mysterious about the trench coat....powerful, intriguing and classic!

I guess, it is those items that you must keep it in your wardrobe.

The trench is no mere raincoat. What began as a military staple in the mid 1800s has become a cornerstone of the 21st century wardrobe, striking an enviable balance between from and function. Its straight-forward, structured design captures the essence of the individual, from the mystique of a private investigator's coat, the sinister allure of a leather trench, or the seduction of a belted sheath with nothing underneath.
